Tucked away on Italy's far northeastern borders lies the quaint Friuli-Venezia Giulia, and the last stop Lombardy, together here you’ll discover the culinary heritage that will broaden your notions of the Italian table. A table set with Casancelli alla Bergamasca, Risi e Bisi, Petto d’anatra e versa and more.

 

So join us as we take a trip to the Italian countryside.

Chef Abhishek is an integral part of our hotel, his natural aptitude and culinary skills have won our patrons hearts. He recently travelled to Copenhagen, Denmark and worked in Two Michelin Star Awardee and one of the World’s Leading Restaurant “NOMA” for the entire summer. His close work with the research and development team at NOMA led him to understand the nuances of their unique dishes. Hence, progressing with this new culinary venture EPIC- GLOBAL CUISINE.

Creatively using local and international produce he has prepared a signature menu.

 

He has used both ancient and modern cooking styles resulting in perfect cooking, thoughtful flavours and imaginative presentation while giving the menu an inclination towards the “Umami” taste.

Enjoy some exciting delicacies like pureed pumpkin with marigold flowers, potato starch petals, Sambuca infused Sous Vide beans, cherries and gooseberry cooked with mild butter sauce, farm leaves grilled with smoked butter and more, courtesy Chef Abhishek and his culinary science.

To make this experience as authentic as it gets we’ll be flying down two Chefs from the country. But that’s not all, to complement the great food we have a mixologist who will mix up the perfect cocktails to take the celebration spirit higher. Spain has over 2.9 million acres of vineyards and it is the third largest producer of wine in the world. Unfortunately, since the Spaniards drink an average 21.6 litres per person a year, Spanish wines are not easy to get. So join us and taste some authentic grapes such as Tempranillo and Garnacha, which produce the great wines of Rioja and Ribera del Duero. Finish off with a great fortified wine, Sherry from Jerez.

White Day at The Leela Ambience Gurugram and The Leela Patisserie

 

White Day was started out in Japan in 1978 as an ‘answer day’ where anyone who had received gifts or chocolates on Valentine’s Day had to gift back the person with white chocolates and marshmallows. In Japanese culture it is common for women to gift chocolates to men out of love, courtesy or social obligation on Valentine’s Day. And exactly a month after it, on White Day, this gesture is returned by men. This tradition has now spread to the neighbouring  East Asian countries of South Korea, China and Taiwan.

     

At The Leela Patisserie we have prepared an assortment of white milk chocolates for you to reciprocate your love.
