Our Palace properties are on a clear, science-aligned path to achieve Net Zero by 2050.

Water Conservation

Facing India’s growing water challenges, The Leela is committed to conserving this critical resource through responsible practices across all our properties. As a member of the Alliance for Water Stewardship (AWS), we look forward to adopting global best practices to advance sustainable water management and further strengthen our conservation efforts.

By implementing advanced water-saving technologies such as low-flow fixtures and aerators in guest rooms and public areas, we significantly reduce water consumption without compromising guest comfort.

Our commitment to water conservation is an integral part of our broader mission to operate sustainably and protect the environment for future generations.

Circular Economy

We uphold a firm commitment to reimagining waste as a resource, valuing every material beyond its initial use. Our rigorous waste segregation and management practices ensure responsible disposal and strict compliance with environmental standards and regulations.

As part of our pledge to the Global Tourism Plastics Initiative (GTPI), we are aggressively reducing plastic waste and championing sustainable alternatives across properties.

Currently, 75% of our properties are equipped with Organic Waste Composters. In line with our goal to achieve Zero Waste to Landfill, we have launched comprehensive recycling programs in partnership with third-party recyclers. We are proud that our Palace properties have received the IGBC Net Zero Waste certification, recognizing our leadership in sustainable waste management.

Through these efforts, we are driving towards zero-waste future—transforming our operations to support a truly circular economy and set new benchmarks in sustainable luxury hospitality.

Leela ke Phool

As part of our commitment to the circular economy, we collaborate with Phool.co, a biomaterials startup that transforms discarded flowers into eco-friendly products. Flowers adorning our properties are repurposed into exquisite organic incense sticks and cones infused with our signature fragrance, Tishya by The Leela.

Through this partnership, we have upcycled 3.1 tonnes of floral waste, reinforcing our dedication to sustainable and circular practices.

Aujasya By The Leela In-House Water Bottling Plant

Inspired by the Sanskrit word for “vigour of life,” Aujasya by The Leela is our signature wellness program, thoughtfully designed to promote holistic well-being. It blends ancient wisdom with modern innovations, offering authentic experiences that restore vitality and encourage a balanced lifestyle.

As part of this commitment, we have in-house water bottling plant that plays a key role in reducing plastic consumption and promoting sustainable practices.
