Recognizing the growing importance of animal welfare in sustainable food systems, The Leela has partnered with Karuna Ethics Alliance (KEA) as Founding Member. Through this collaboration, we are working alongside industry peers, experts, and supply chain partners to strengthen animal welfare practices and advance responsible sourcing standards in India. Through this partnership, we are advancing our journey towards 100% cage-free egg sourcing, and encouraging the procurement of animal welfare-certified and responsibly sourced food products wherever feasible.
All suppliers are expected to comply with The Leela's Supplier Code of Conduct, which covers ethical business conduct, labour rights, health and safety, environmental responsibility, and regulatory compliance.
The Leela has partnered with Jodhpur Mahila Griha Udhyog to empower women from vulnerable communities in Rajasthan through skill training and livelihood development. We source handcrafted bags made by these skilled artisans for our guest rooms, each stitch symbolizing our commitment to supporting women-led enterprises, fostering small businesses, and promoting social inclusion.
