This rare composition is inspired by the ancient musical wisdom of India – the Ragas – believed to be of divine origin.  Even today, Ragas are enshrined in mythical tales of magical influences. Each melodic compilation weaves the soul of India and the spirit of Chennai, to create an enthralling experience. Raga, symbolizes the spirit of Chennai, a global and modern business hub, deeply rooted in traditional culture, music and heritage of South India.

This album, inspired by centuries old Carnatic temple music captures the heartbeat of Chennai – the awakening of the Gods at temples, the hustle bustle of international commerce, the sounds of ancient instruments, the notes of colonial influences and the divine colours of the sky – all of which make the city God’s gift to beauty. When heard the sounds will evoke a sense of richness within and  be a reminder of diverse cultures merging seamlessly in Chennai as a way of life.
