1. What measures has The Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts taken to ensure the safety of guests?
The safety and wellbeing of our guests and associates is our utmost priority. Hence, we have partnered with Bureau Veritas to introduce Suraksha by The Leela which elevates and redefines the enhanced safety and cleanliness standards and hygiene protocols that have been implemented across the hotel. 2. How is The Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts making the check-in and check-out procedures for guests safer?
At The Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts, we have instituted minimum contact check in and check out procedures leveraging technology wherever possible including UV sanitisation of key cards where a physical key is still in use and giving the guests the option to pay using their phone. Social distancing markings have also been implemented to ensure further safety of guests at check in counters.
3. What steps have been undertaken to ensure adequate baggage sanitisation?
All baggage is sanitised and screened and baggage scanners have been equipped with UV sanitisation.
4. What steps have you taken to ensure your transfers/pick-and-drop facility from the airport is safe?
We have undertaken extensive cleaning measures to ensure that every car is sanitized and disinfected before and after every pickup and drop.
5. What measures have you undertaken to ensure your rooms are safer for guests?
Our associates have been trained to use high pressure dry steam, electrostatic sprayers and hospital-grade EPA approved chemicals and disinfectants to clean and sanitise all the rooms to ensure the safety of our guests. Additionally, they are all mandated to wear full PPE when they enter rooms. Besides all hi touch points such as elevators, doorknobs and handles are sanitized frequently.
6.What precautions are being undertaken at The Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts to ensure restaurants are safe for guests?
Restaurant seating has been rearranged to ensure social distancing. Restaurant capacity is in line with the local government directives. E-Menu have been introduced to allow guests to view menus on their respective phones without making any physical contact.
Hand sanitizers have been made available in restaurants and their use encouraged. We have also introduced natural immunity-boosting beverages, which will help our guests stay healthy.
Additionally, mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for Kitchen Team has been implemented to prevent cross contamination. Vegetables, fruits and groceries are washed and sanitized. Food is prepared in smaller quantities and all dishes are washed at 80 degree Celsius.
7. Are the banquet halls open for guests/booking?
Banquet halls are available for use by guests in keeping with the government directives.
8. What measures have been undertaken by The Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts to ensure the banquet facility is safe for guests?
Enhanced cleaning protocols and safety measures including social distancing have been implemented.
9. What safety practices have The Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts taken to make sure all the supplies coming to the hotel are safe?
Stringent measures have been put into place to ensure vendors as well as supplies coming into the hotel are safe. Sourcing is done after careful selection and inspection of vendors from a safety and hygiene point of view. Besides all vendors and vehicles entering the property are screened with vendors having to undergo thermal screening. PPE such as gloves and masks are also mandated.
10. What steps have been taken to ensure safety of associates?
The safety of our associates is equally important to us. We have implemented and reinforced personal hygiene protocols that include frequent washing of hands and sanitisation and regular intervals. Protective gear including masks, gloves and PPE kits have been provided to all our associates to ensure safety of our associates as well provide a safe environment for our guests. Regular temperature checks of all associates entering the hotel premises have also been implemented.
