The prestigious awards, based on votes cast by the readers of the internationally renowned Condé Nast Traveller magazine, were conferred at a glittering ceremony in New Delhi. The evening was graced with the presence of industry stalwarts and eminent personalities, including Chief Guest Shri Vinod Zutshi, Secretary, Minister of Tourism, Government of India; His Highness Shriji Arvind Singh Mewar of Udaipur; His Excellency Mr Ahmed Mohamed, High Commissioner of the Republic of Maldives; and Shree Amitabh Kant, Secretary, Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion.

Condé Nast Traveller Readers’ Travel Awards are globally renowned and considered the most prestigious in the industry. They honour the best in travel, tourism and hospitality, as chosen by the discerning and influential readers of Condé Nast Traveller, and are considered indicative of what discerning travellers really want and enjoy. Based on their personal experiences, readers voted across 27 categories for their preferred destinations, airlines, hotels, spas, airports and more. The winners were determined by an independent market research company after being scored on several parameters unique to each category. The survey began in June 2015 and was available through the secured website and the magazine.
