The Leela Palace New Delhi Appoints New Food and Beverage Manager to Set New Heights of Service Excellence

The Leela Palace New Delhi, is pleased to announce the appointment of Rajat Kalia as the new Food and Beverage Manager.

In his new role, Rajat will oversee the F&B operations of the award-winning restaurants, bar, banquets and butler operations for The Leela Palace New Delhi 254 rooms and suites.
 
He started his career with The Leela Palace Bengaluru in 2006 as Assistant Restaurant Manager of Citrus, All Day Dining restaurant where he was involved in the day to day operations of the restaurant along with monthly training of the service team. Since then he has acquired a diverse experience in operating and excelling in the management of fine dining restaurants and overall F&B space in the hotel. He comes with great knowledge and understanding of dining trends and innovative concepts which can enhance the guest experiences and give a fillip to our niche and bespoke banquet events. His strength lies in curating great service experiences, in depth product knowledge and consummate people management skills.
Speaking on the appointment Louis Sailer, General Manager, The Leela Palace New Delhi said, “We welcome Rajat back to Delhi and our young palace. In his new role, his focus will be to enhance Leela’s signature service and dining experiences. In a short span of just 10 years of experience under his belt, Rajat has worked across leading hospitality brands in India and Maldives. His previous stints include Taj Vivanta, Surajkund, JW Marriott Aerocity, New Delhi, One and Only Reethi Rah, Maldives besides being part of the opening team of iconic Japanese restaurants like MEGU , the first Asian outpost of the legendary brand from New York at The Leela Palace New Delhi and Akira Back, a Las Vegas based Korean-Japanese modern-day dining restaurant at JW Marriott Aerocity, New Delhi.
Upon his return to The Leela Palace New Delhi, Rajat says, “ This is a homecoming for me. I am very excited to be back at the hotel that gave me the strong platform I needed in my initial years. Besides providing strategic guidance to my team and maintaining the coveted position we enjoy on Delhi’s culinary landscape, my immediate task will be to roll out the new menus and get my team ready for the busy festive season. I am excited and happy to be working in a gorgeous hotel known for its world class facilities and flawless service standards. It’s a responsibility and I am very proud to have been bestowed with it.”
