The Leela Palace New Delhi appoints New Executive Chef to lead Culinary Team

The Leela Palace New Delhi is delighted to announce the appointment of Adrian Mellor as the new Executive Chef.

At the helm of culinary operations of The Leela Palace New Delhi, Chef Adrian will lead a highly creative team to further elevate the unique dining experiences that the bouquet of award-winning restaurants offers to discerning guests.
Commenting on the appointment, Louis Sailer, general manager, The Leela Palace New Delhi said: “We are pleased to welcome Chef Adrian Mellor to the vibrant city of Delhi and our young palace. A seasoned professional, Adrian has garnered twenty six years of professional experience across Asia and Europe. He started his career from Pennyhill Park Hotel, London, as Chef de partie and went on to helm some of the finest restaurants at the world’s leading five star hotels, including, the Waldorf Astoria Malaysia; The Oberoi Rajvilas, India; The Peninsula Manila, Republic of the Philippines among others. He was Private Chef at ‘The Royal Hashemite Court in Jordan’ where he gallantly carried out his responsibilities, overseeing all the official functions of their majesties King Abdullah and Queen Rania.
Born and brought up in Oldham, England, Adrian completed his education from Tameside College, Greater Manchester. He started working at an early age of 14 at a restaurant in the UK where he was exposed to the inner workings of a restaurant and sparked his interest in the field of all things gastronomy. 
A classically trained chef, Adrian describes himself as someone who is continuously learning and adapting himself to the changing culinary landscape, evolving styles and local preferences. It is his passion for food, ingredients, and cooking techniques that inspire him to experiment and bring a fresh perspective to his creations with enlivening twists.   His strength lies in his curiosity, willingness to experiment and an extensive knowledge of international culinary trends.
In his free time, Adrian likes to play golf, he is a voracious reader and has recently started learning to play guitar.
