The 2nd wave of the pandemic is a reality we are all facing. To say these are unprecedented times is an understatement. The world around us is crumbling and we are fighting to hold it together every day. Doctors, frontline medical workers and essential service providers are working tirelessly, and we are immensely grateful for their dedication and commitment.
As a responsible organization, we are doing our bit to support our associates, our guests and the communities in which we operate. Be it collaborating with Clothes Box Foundation, a Not For Profit Organization, to support our Armed Forces with PPE Kits, Oxygen Concentrators, SPO2 meters, N95 masks, medicines, gloves, sanitizers and rations as they fight the battle to save India at the frontline during the pandemic, or ensuring all our associates are vaccinated with a vaccination drive that covers not just our associates but also their families.
Despite all this, we continue to do what we do best… work hard to bring a smile to millions of tired faces. I am incredibly proud to be a member of the hospitality industry and lead a team that is highly motivated and dedicated.
Setting personal challenges aside, we go the extra mile to serve the doctors staying with us, we welcome you with warm smiles whenever you walk through our doors and we deliver your favourite food to your doorstep, when you cannot come to our restaurants. We wake up, we dress up and we show up. And we do it every day. We do it because we are in the hospitality business. We do it because service is not just a job. It is a way of life. We do it because we care and are passionate about what we do.
We do it because hospitality doesn't work from home.
You may not notice us, because we are not in the business of saving lives. You may not remember our names. But we hope you remember how we touched your heart. So, in the midst of your rigorous work from home days, spare a moment to acknowledge the silent barista who served you a perfect coffee during your last meeting, or the associate who helped you put together a fantastic menu for that special event, or the chef who made that spectacular cartoon cake your little one loved, or the housekeeper who left your room sparkling clean, or the chauffeur who ensured you reach your meeting venue in time, despite intense traffic. It would mean the world to us.
If we look deep within, we will find a million little things that make us smile. A child's laughter, a rainbow, a great cup of coffee, words of praise for a job well done, beautiful flowers, a delicious dish, a good film, beating traffic against all odds, and so many more. If there was ever a time for us to dig into our happy list, it is now.
We are in the midst of a storm, but this will end. And you will find us, in cafes, in restaurants, in kitchens, in rooms, in cars, still serving, still smiling.
Till then, stay safe. God bless.
