Comprising largely of fish, curry and rice, Konkan cuisine has a unique mix of tangy and spicy flavours. Coconut milk is a popular ingredient and is found in many types of curries, rice dishes and even desserts. Come experience this sojourn blending Portuguese and Hindu influences.

Itinerary

    Day 1

     

    • Begin your itinerary at The Restaurant overlooking the outdoor pool and lush, landscaped waterfall.  Enjoy a lavish breakfast spread of both local and international cuisine.
    • Meet the chef and horticulturist who will introduce you to in-house concepts on organic farming and take you on a stroll through the hotel’s herb, spice and vegetable garden.  Learn about the various herbs and spices that play an important role in Goan cuisine.
    • Introduce your taste buds to a 3 course Continental / Portuguese set meal at the Club Lounge.
    • Relax by the pool or retreat to the room for a siesta like the locals.
    • In the evening, attend a demonstration of authentic Saraswat and Konkan food.  This is a unique cuisine with mild but captivating flavours to tamarind, freshly ground coconut and spices lending itself to sea food and fresh vegetables like potatoes, okra and cauliflower.  Dine on this self-prepared dinner paired with wines at Jamavar Terrace where talented local musicians serenade with favourite tunes.

     

    Day 2

     

    • Wake up to an invigorating yoga session at the Yoga Pavilion of The Leela Goa.
    • Breakfast is severed at the Club Lounge – sample local breakfast favourities.
    • Visit to a local spice farm at Ponda for an introduction to Goan spices.  A dense forest cover, the farm will delight you with the aromas of a variety of spice species that not only add flavour to food but also have medicinal values.  You will be fascinated with new scientific techniques used in conjunction with age old concepts of mixed crop farming.
    • Be served to a relaxed, delicious farm-to-table Goan lunch in a rustic set up among lush, vegetation.  Enjoy the fragrance of rich spices and birds chirping while you relish your lunch.
    • Return to resort to relax by the pool or retreat to your room for a siesta.
    • Attend a cocktail making session at Susegado by the beachside.  Enjoy the cocktail while you watch the sun set over the horizon.
    • Attend a food demonstration on Goan style Recheado fish preparation with aromatic spices at Susegado.  Proceed to an exciting evening at the Riverside with lively Goan entertainment and a delicious seafood dinner complemented with carefully selected wines.

     


     

    Day 3

    •  
    • Relish an elaborate breakfast buffet featuring international and local cuisine at The Restaurant.
    • After breakfast, attend a local pickle making session with Chef.  Take back a few tips from the Chef.
    • Depart from the hotel in the afternoon laden with Goan souvenirs and gifts.

Terms and Conditions

    • Check-in time is 2:00 pm and Check-out time is 12 noon. Early check-in and late check-out will be subject to availability and additional charges will apply
    • Any change in taxes and/or any other levies/charges/ fees will be chargeable extra, as prevalent during the stay.
    • A child up to 5 years stays free in parent's room when using existing bed(s) in room.  A child aged 6 years and older is fully charged and can only be accommodated in a Conservatory Premiere, Lagoon Suite or a Club Pool Suite.
    • An extra adult can be accommodated in a Lagoon Suite, Club Pool Suite or a Royal Villa at an additional charge.

     

    Guarantee Policy
    • All reservations, either on a Regular or a Restricted Rate must be guaranteed by a valid credit card.
    • If a debit/credit card is used during check-in, a hold may be placed on your card account for the full anticipated amount to be owed to the hotel, including estimated incidentals until check-out. Such a hold may not be released for 72 hours from the date of check-out or longer at the discretion of your card issuer.

     

    Cancellation Policy

    For Regular Rates:

    • 01-Apr to 30-Sep: To avoid any cancellation charges, we must receive your cancellation 14 days prior to arrival.  Reservations booked within 14 days will be charged one night non-refundable deposit at the time of reservation. Any Cancellation within cancellation period will attract full retention.
    • 01-Oct to 27-Dec: To avoid any cancellation charges, we must receive your cancellation 21 days prior to arrival. Reservations booked within 21 days will be charged one night non-refundable deposit at the time of reservation. Any Cancellation within cancellation period will attract full retention .
    • 28-Dec to 05-Jan: Reservations are non-cancellable, non-refundable and non-transferable.
    • 06-Jan to 31-Mar: To avoid any cancellation charges, we must receive your cancellation 21 days prior to arrival. Reservations booked within 21 days will be charged one night non-refundable deposit at the time of reservation. Any Cancellation within cancellation period will attract full retention .
    • If in case of a prepayment, we will retain all or part of your prepayment. If none has been received, we will charge your credit card.

    For Restricted Rates:

    • The rate is non-cancellable, non-refundable and non-transferable.
