$150 Million Leela Palace Hotel, Delhi

The Leela Hotel group has been quietly expanding and growing their presence within the Indian market over recent years, culminating in the acclaimed Leela Palace Hotel in Bangalore.

However, for their most daring development yet, Leela have acquired a three acre plot in Delhi for $150 million, making it one of the most expensive pieces of real estate in the county.

The new hotel will open in summer 2008 and is set to include 90 serviced residences as well as 319 guestrooms and suites. We can only speculate what the final costs will be, but judging by Leela’s other hotels, there will be no skimping on luxurious features.
