The Leela Palace Kempinski Bangalore to grow its luxury inventory by 40%

The Leela Palaces & Resorts is preparing to carve a larger share of the luxury rooms business in India’s tech capital, Bangalore. The Leela Palace Kempinski, the group’s flagship property in Bangalore, is increasing its room count by 40% to meet the rising demand for premium five star rooms and high quality services. The room expansion by Leela, which is the ARR (average room rate) leader in Bangalore, is a clear endorsement of the growing appetite for rooms from the IT sector.

The hotel is adding 105 large sized premium rooms, each 52 sq.m, which will be ready by January 2007 just ahead of the popular Air Show in Bangalore which traditionally witnesses a huge surge in demand for hotel rooms in the city. The additional rooms will include five extra large deluxe suites of 84 sq.m each. The expansion is being powered by an investment of $9 to $ 10 million.

The additional rooms built on five floors will be a seamless extension of the existing building, and will increment the inventory of Conservatory Premium rooms in the hotel. The rooms will boast of the finest features and amenities
including :-

1. Wi-Fi connectivity
2. 42” Plasma Screens
3. Contemporary furnishings

The Leela Palace Kempinski Bangalore is located in the heart of the city, just 10 minutes away from the airport. The additional rooms will take the hotel’s total inventory to 358. The Leela Palaces & Resorts owns three other luxury hotels located in Mumbai, Goa and Kovalam. The group is on an aggressive growth plan which will see it introducing five new world class Leela hotels in Gurgaon-Delhi NCR, Udaipur, Chennai, Hyderabad and Pune in the next four years,thereby more than doubling its current room inventory.
