The name comes from the 16th century jamavar shawls of Kashmir, so fine, that a three-metre shawl could be slipped through a wedding band. It is the spirit that inspires our chefs and restaurant designers to capture the beauty and elegance of Indian culture. From wall paintings with 24-carat gold leaf in Bangalore to crystal chandeliers and extensive mirrors in New Delhi. And right down to the silver cutlery and crockery by Guy Degrenne and Merrony.
